The Road That Forgot It Needed Cars

A Royal Mail postman in Hertfordshire spotted something odd on his route: parking bays painted on both sides of a narrow road. If cars use those spaces, the middle becomes too tight for any vehicle to pass through. In other words, a road designed with great enthusiasm and very little tape measure. The postman shared it online, and viewers were just as puzzled. It’s a gentle reminder that even permanent white paint sometimes feels... optimistic.
