Thousands of people watched as a man in a tuxedo translated groundhog thoughts like it was a royal speech. It matters mostly because we keep doing this every year, even though the forecast is basically “cold, then not cold.” Still, you have to admire a tradition where the main expert is a sleepy animal with no idea what’s going on.

Over in Kentucky, 11-year-old Caleb Hunter just earned a Guinness World Record by mastering a juggling toy called a Pendaloo. He pulled off 51 loops in under 30 seconds, which is about 50 more loops than most of us manage before breakfast. It matters because it shows patience pays off, even with something that looks like a piece of playground equipment. Caleb didn’t do it for bragging rights either, the challenge started as a deeper family journey. The world can feel messy, but every so often a kid comes along and reminds us that focus still works.
