In Catania, Italy, police say a man trained his dog to carry trash bags and drop them on the roadside. Yes, the dog appears to trot off, bag in mouth, do the deed, and head home like a very furry delivery driver. Surveillance cameras caught the act, and the owner was fined. Authorities noted that creativity is not a free pass for bad manners, which feels like a sentence we could use more often. It’s impressive training, sure, but maybe teach the dog to recycle instead.
