In France, a woman was fined $1,400 because her cat did what cats have done since the dawn of time, ignored the concept of private property. The ginger culprit, Remy, allegedly left paw prints, "garden deposits," and a bit of eau de chat on a neighbor’s duvet. The court ruled in favor of the offended human, putting Remy on what is essentially feline house arrest. His owner says he's now fat, cranky, and pacing like a jailed mob boss. Apparently, being a cat is now a liability, at least in Hérault.
